POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Meditech EMR Analyst will provide high-level technical support and systems analysis to identify, prevent, and resolve service interruptions in the organization's electronic medical records, Meditech (Inpatient) and our applications environment. This position is expected to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support all Departments, Clinic and Hospital. As an EMR analyst, you will be a key contributor to the efficient management and utilization of the EMR systems within our organization. Your primary responsibility is ensuring accessibility with our client's EMRs and the security of patient information through effective access and troubleshooting processes. This role requires an understanding of healthcare information systems, compliance with regulatory standards, collaboration with various healthcare professionals, and EMR system optimization knowledge.


EDUCATION:



  • Education in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration or a related field

  • Meditech Certification, preferred

  • EMR Meditech Super User Certification, preferred


EXPERIENCE:



  • 3 years inpatient healthcare experience and managing PHI, managing administrative duties within an EMR (resetting passwords, creating users, etc.)

  • Meditech experience

  • 5 years Inpatient Acute Care staff development and education, preferred


LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:



  • Meditech certification or demonstrated proficiency

  • Meditech Certification of formal training clinical informatics, preferred


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Customer service orientated

  • strong knowledge of systems analysis, workflow planning, gathering business requirements and transforming them into functional specifications

  • Knowledge of EMR: Meditech and Athena.
