Participate in and successfully complete training to become an Epic Credentialed Trainer (ECT). Support system-wide Epic implementation by training end users. Coach, mentor, and orchestrate excellence. Teach the Epic curriculum designed by Epic Principal Trainers, prepare classroom environments, facilitate learnings in the classroom, and follow-up on any outstanding questions that arise during classroom training.
Timeframe and Commitment
Full-time, six (6) month commitment
Credentialing – 6 weeks – 9/30/24 – 11/11/24
Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
- Application training
- “Train the trainer” course – Northwell Epic lesson plans & curriculum for all user roles for a specific Epic module
- Assessments to demonstrate proficiency which must be passed with a score of 85% or greater
- Teach back sessions & panel presentations to Epic experts
- Conducted via a mix of in-person (at 3 Huntington Quadrangle in Melville) and virtual sessions
- No time off requests
Training Support – 12 to 20 weeks – 11/18/24 – 4/4/25
Flexibility Required - Days/Eves/Nights and/or Weekends
- Developing and testing training materials
- Supporting training sessions and facilitating other post-training session activities like study halls and assessments
- Conducted in person
- Credentialed trainers will be assigned locations based on need, various locations:
Western region- Staten Island Univ. Hospital North, Lenox Hill Hospital, Lenox Hill Greenwich Village, MEETH, Phelps Memorial Hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital.
East Region (Suffolk County)- Peconic Bay Medical Center
Post-Go-Live Support – 2 weeks – 4/5/25 – 4/19/25
Flexibility Required
- Providing additional support at various Northwell locations to help field issues or questions in real time
- Conducted in person
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong Communicator
- 2+ years clinical experience
- 1+ year Epic experience
- Prior experience with Epic implementations a plus
- Prior experience with training a plus
- Reliable transportation
