Description

Find your purpose as the EPIC Credentialed Trainer at CentraCare. The EPIC Credentialed Trainer delivers training programs to optimize the utilization of EPIC across the organization. This position will serve as an EPIC training expert in assigned EPIC application module and will be in frequent contact with operational staff, administrative staff, Principal Trainers, the build team and support staff.


The main function of the Credentialed Trainer is to conduct end user training for the Epic electronic health record across CentraCare. A Credentialed Trainer (CT) is responsible for delivering standardized, instructor led training curriculum to clinical and non-clinical staff. Conduct engaging and effective training sessions to diverse audiences. Incorporate the principles of Adult Learning in training classes. Apply the knowledge of unit/department workflows & policy and procedures associated with the use of Epic software. They will also provide go-live and post go-live support to the units/departments/practices for a variety of small to mid-sized projects. A key responsibility will be to work collaboratively with the Principal Trainers, Training Manager, and the IT Team in the execution of classroom training of EHR end-users. Conduct new hire and advanced system training in order to promote effective use of the Epic system, identifying and preventing bad habits and workarounds. Serve as a change agent to promote, effect and support change in workflow and behaviors related to the Epic system.  Assess training needs before, during and after each class. Arrive prior to scheduled training class to prepare the classroom, including setting up the training environment and other logistics. Perform Attendance and Competency assessment tracking after each class. Complete required documentation related to class session. Make necessary adjustments to training delivery based on student and training team feedback. Training and support issues are identified, communicated and escalated to ensure timely resolution.


Schedule:  



  • Full time | 80 hours every 2 weeks | St. Cloud

  • Day shift | Monday - Friday | 8am-4:30pm 


Pay and Benefits:



  • Starting pay begins at $62,195.52 per year and increases with experience

  • Salary range:  $62,192.52 - $93,310.15 per year

    • Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:



  • Associate’s degree in education or healthcare and 2 years of direct work experience; or 4 years of direct work experience in lieu of education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2 years' experience in delivering course content in a variety of learning delivery modalities including instructor-led classroom and virtual courses

  • 2 years' experience presenting information in a clear and interesting manner, commanding the audience's attention, and handling questions or challenges from the audience

  • 2 years' experience presenting effectively and confidently, tailoring delivery for desired results

  • 2 years' experience writing, proofing and editing courseware content for grammar, accuracy and clarity
