Job Summary:

Responsible for EHR (electronic health record) end-user role and workflow analysis to ensure training needs are identified and met. Interprets Epic-led training and develops and delivers training programs, incorporating workflow and enterprise applications. Participates in workgroups and leads operational readiness activities. Uses discretion and independent judgement to develop and deliver ongoing end-user training as part of new hire onboarding and system changes and upgrades.


Job Requirements:


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required

  • Five years' relevant experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Epic certification/accreditation in area of responsibility: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with Epic and Adventist Health (AH) application teams to design AH-appropriate end user training programs. Participates in workgroups for workflow design sessions and highlights training requirements for integrated workflow with Epic systems and enterprise applications.

  • Crosswalks AH job roles with Epic training tracks and assigns AH end-user to Epic-led training tracks to ensure accurate enrollment. Develops a process for ensuring training completion prior to granting Epic access.

  • Works with business and clinical leaders to develop policies and expectations related to Epic training requirements. Ensures training status reports to Epic project leadership are accurate, timely, and actionable. Partners with training team and cross-functional partners to ensure that technical & logistical requirements for end user training (classrooms, hardware, AV systems, classroom support, etc) are adequate and prepared.

  • Develops a post-live process for ensuring new hires complete appropriate Epic-led training and other applicable workflow/system training as part of onboarding.

  • Stays up to date with the latest Epic system updates, enhancements, best practices, and enterprise standard systems to ensure training materials and programs are current and relevant. Stays abreast of industry trends and advancements in EHR systems and training methodologies to enhance the training program continuously.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
