Collaborate with operational partners and leaders to deliver clear and frequent communication regarding system availability and issue resolution and recovery of EPIC systems that are important to our operations and ultimately our patients. Empowered to work directly with vendors, other IS teams and operational users, the EPIC team will pursue solutions for complex production issues and ensure an ongoing stable application production environment.
Hiring range is $75,000/yr to $102,800/yr. Placement in the range is dependent on applicable professional experience and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Epic Systems Analyst is responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying Epic’s Cadence, Prelude, RTE and modules along with supporting related applications and technologies
- Have in-depth, expert knowledge of scheduling and registration workflows to include call center, front desk, template build, real-time eligibility and referrals roles.
- Formulates and defines system functionality and objectives through research and fact-finding to support the development, configuration, or support of information systems.
- Prepares specifications, analyzes and revises existing system logic and creates documentation as necessary.
- Responsible for communicating system changes to the principal trainers, management, and end users.
- Actively participate and work with appropriate subject matter experts in all enterprise design, build, validation sessions, and ongoing upgrades.
- Strong proficiency in all phases of application activities, including but not limited to planning, requirements analysis, design, build, testing, implementation, support and maintenance.
- Understand how workflow decisions translate to application configuration.
- Provide support services with very little management input including, but not limited to: high level applications software support, coordination of technical requests, system upgrade coordination, vendor liaison, and on-call coverage.

- Strong understanding of system integration key concepts and technical protocols.
- Excels at establishing, conceiving and describing systems, designs, flow charts, schedules, and requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including peers, clinicians, and senior leaders.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years of information technology or Epic electronic health record experience in relevant healthcare or business area required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, and/or in a relevant operational area for the position (i.e., Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, etc.), and/or in an information technology role supporting a relevant operational area.
- Epic Certification(s) may be required depending on the specific area of application. (i.e. Epic OpTime, Healthy Planet, Cadence/Prelude etc.)
Pay Range:
$74,817.00 - $112,225.00
