The Position:
The EMR Specialist - Practice Management Specialist develops and delivers support, best practice workflows, training and reporting tools related to the
implementation and support of our EMR platform's Practice Management suite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assesses, plans, develops, and implements educational programs for staff based on needs assessments, new computer applications, system updates, and other organizational goals and changes.
• Provides classroom, one-on-one and support for end users, including support staff and clinicians.
• Assesses new and upcoming features and in response refines training program components based on user needs.
• Works cross-functionally with billing team to analyze and troubleshoot any issues with AHG clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Manages initial educational and training objectives and continuously works with leaders to address gaps in knowledge and provide additional training as needed for Practice Management functions.
• Conducts needs and skills assessments for end users to determine the type and duration of training needed.
• Develops training documentation, outlines, and delivers training to end-users with varying levels of computer literacy in a range of clinical modules/applications.
• Responsible for maintaining an in-depth understanding of clinical and operational workflows in order to develop and implement workflow documentation in clinical software applications.
• Responsible for providing support to development team in the form of comprehensive testing of all aspects of clinical applcation software.
• Responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting and identifying opportunities where appropriate for clinical information system improvments.
• Utilizes Service Management tool for ticketing relating to Practice Management.
• Develops and contributes to Knowledge-base of Service Management platform.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years Healthcare experience.
• 5 years’ experience with EHR Systems.
• 5 years’ experience with mentoring, guiding, and training.
• Ability to exercise judgment in prioritizing work, responding to
customer needs, and in determining when an inquiry requires
higher-level involvement.
• Effective project management experience.
• 5+ years of clinical systems implementations.
