The Position:


The EMR Clinical Specialist develops and delivers clinical content such as: templates, order sets, regulatory updates and HIE data. This position provides support, best practice workflows, training and informatics expertise related to the implementation and support of our EMRs and ancillary platforms' clinical content and data.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Assesses, plans, develops, and implements clinical education programs for staff based on needs assessments, new computer applications, system updates, and other organizational goals and changes.
• Provides classroom, one-on-one and support for end users, including CMAs, RNs, APPs, and Providers.
• Assesses new and upcoming features and in response refines training program components based on user needs.


• Works cross-functionally with Quality and Operations team to assist with analyzing, developing and reporting on clinical processes and data.


• Manages initial educational and training objections and continuously works with leaders to address gaps in knowledge and provide additional training as needed for clinical systems use.


• Responsible for maintaining an in-depth understanding of clinical and operational workflows in order to develop and implement workflow documentation in clinical software applications.


• Responsible for providing support and development in the form of comprehensive testing and delivery of clinical content.


• Develops and contributes to Knowledge-base of Service Management platform - HALO ITSM.


• Works with clinicians and providers to gather feedback and optimize systems use.


• Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years Healthcare experience.
• 5 years’ experience with EHR Systems.
• 3 years’ experience with Informatics delivery
• Ability to exercise judgment in prioritizing work, responding to customer needs, and in determining when an inquiry requires higher-level involvement.
• Effective project management experience.
• 3 years experience with clinical application implementations.


• Clinical background or certifications such as CMA, RN, etc. preferred.
