Position Overview


St. Jude is looking for an Epic Clinical Application Analyst (Senior or Level II) to join the Epic Patient Access team that assists health systems in optimizing their workflow processes through building applications such as Cadence and Prelude that are tailored to meet the health system's needs. They will learn Epic EHR system capabilities and functional use, and apply their knowledge of Patient Care Business workflow to assist in the day-to-day support, testing, and upgrades. They will serve as a subject matter expert in their assigned applications, and provide leadership on small and medium size projects with minimal oversight.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Proactively engage with stakeholders & vendors to support delivery of solutions in line with business plans.
  • Apprise on the development and vision of strategies for in partnership with business stakeholders and IT peers.
  • Oversee all requirements including new demands as well as escalations for operational requests with assigned departments.
  • Lead activities related to education of business teams around strategy, services, and capabilities, as well as IT change management & communication.
  • Inform and implement IT change and communication management plans across assigned departments.
  • Develop business cases/proposals for programs and projects based on understanding of departmental roadmap.
  • Develop presentation materials, documents, etc. for programs/projects and present materials to stakeholders.
  • Assist with project management responsibilities.
  • Guide and direct team members around processes/systems/issues related to business aspects as well as services and process capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

 

Minimum Education and/or Training: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

 

Minimum Experience: 

Senior Clinical Application Analyst:

  • Minimum requirement: 4+ years of experience in a comparable client-facing IT role.
  • Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Exposure to diverse business ecosystems of moderate complexity in pharma, healthcare, biotech and/or research organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated history leading discussions and documenting resulting business and/or technical requirements, user stories and process flows.
  • Experience translating business requirements to technical/system requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with mid to senior-level business leaders.

 

Clinical Application Analyst II:

  • Minimum requirement: Two (2) years of experience in a client-facing IT role.
  • Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience leading discussions, identifying and documenting business IT problem statements, business process design and report requirements.

 

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: 

  • Epic Cadence and/or Prelude certifications preferred.

Compensation


In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $86,320 - $154,960 per year for the role of Clinical Applications Analyst (Senior or Level II) - Cadence and Prelude.
