Description

JOB PURPOSE:  Troubleshoots, analyzes, develops, and maintains clinical applications, procedures and other systems that satisfy the needs of the user departments.


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:



  • Works closely with Clinical Informaticist to design, optimize and support the EHR and related clinical systems.

  • Review and provide notifications on EMR upgrades.

  • Help explore and develop ways to expand the capabilities of the clinical systems.

  • Evaluate system feedback and suggest changes to the user experience with the systems.

  • Works to continually improve information technology services for users.

  • Primary knowledge source for the IT support staff for all EMR technology related topics.

  • Assists in meeting data reporting criteria of the state and federal reporting.

  • Develops trainings for staff on new software applications, as well as training new and existing users on current software.

  • Provides troubleshooting for individual users.

  • Provide data reporting for agency on support issues.

  • Perform acceptance testing and document any new problems of challenges with EMR updates.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Technology.

  • 5 years of relevant clinical applications experience.

  • Meditech Expanse and\or CPSI Healthland Experience.
